Our Routes Exhibition Opening
Event description
Drawing from the experiences of migration and identity formation, Our Routes presents a collection of works that examine the ways African traditions have been maintained, adapted, and reshaped across borders.
This exhibition is a space for storytelling, reflection, and cultural exchange—an opportunity to experience how African heritage continues to evolve across the diaspora, influencing art, music, fashion, language, and identity in new and unexpected ways while staying deeply connected to its origins.
We invite you to join us for this exhibition opening, to experience and engage with this exhibition firsthand on Saturday 10 May. This event is free, however registration is essential. Be sure to RSVP to secure your place.
Our Routes is part of Africa Month, an arts and culture programme that celebrates the diverse African diaspora communities in Aotearoa in the lead up to Africa Day in May. To stay up to date with the Africa Month programme for 2025, follow Vocal Roots on all social media platforms.
This event is proudly supported by the City Centre Targeted Rate.
