Our "SHOUT FOR LYNN"s Recovery is a special fund-raising event for our dear friend, wife, mother and grandmother, Lynn Meecham, undergoing treatment for a rare cancer diagnosis.

Running from NOON to 3.00 PM on Sunday 23rd June 2024, your ticket includes live music and entertainment, a free drink on arrival (selected beers, wine) and an awesome BBQ Lunch at the amazing Monte's Ale House.

We are running raffles and a charity auction to raise much needed funds for Lynn with prizes including a $500 Meal Voucher at Moo Moo's, a Jupiter's Hotel Stay with Dinner and Breakfast (Value $600 plus), L'Oreal SteamPro with product (Value $800 plus), over $600 of fishing gear and much more. More prizes being added daily.

All profits will go to Lynn's Gofundme page officially launching at the event. This is a family friendly event with Kids (under 18) free and pets welcome.

Lynn’s story

Lynn’s life has been marked by dedication and love.

For the past 18 years in the security sector, she has touched countless lives through teaching, training and employment support. Her unwavering commitment and loyalty to others has earned her lasting friendships and respect from all who have been lucky enough to across her path.

Having worked with Lynn for many years, we value her not only as a great coworker but also as a treasured friend - who has always gone the extra mile for anyone wanting or needing her support. Her generous spirit has touched so many lives, including ours.

Lynn's Medical Journey

In July 2022, Lynn’s world turned upside down with a shocking diagnosis of Bile Duct Cancer. Despite undergoing the brutal Whipple Procedure, involving the removal of multiple organs, the aggressive cancer remains a constant threat.

After a difficult recovery and six months of oral chemotherapy, Lynn returned to work in May 2023.
However, by September, scans showed the cancer had spread to her lungs.

And in March this year, with the discovery of a new tumor, Lynn again underwent major surgery. Despite this, Lynn remains a fighter challenging those who would have given up on her.

Faced with a grim prognosis and ineffective treatment options, Lynn is now seeking advanced therapies available overseas.

Seeking Advanced Treatment

Australia’s treatment options for Bile Duct Cancer are limited to radiation and chemotherapy, both with low success rates for this type of cancer.

Lynn’s research revealed advanced treatments at top cancer centre's like the Mayo Clinic and MD Anderson.
These treatments offer hope but come with significant costs, as are not available in Australia.
Lynn’s only hope lies in accessing these advanced therapies overseas.

She’s not looking for a miracle, but for a fighting chance against this aggressive disease.
