This professional learning experience empowers educators to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in writing that is purposeful, powerful, and deeply connected to identity, culture, and community.
10% of proceeds go directly to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. All donations to our Foundation help put books in the hands of children in remote First Nations Communities.

Explore how Aboriginal English, storytelling, oral language, and creative expression through art and drama can inspire meaningful writing experiences for all students. Learn practical strategies to support culturally responsive teaching, build authentic relationships, and create inclusive classrooms that celebrate voice and diversity.
This session is delivered by Gamilaroi author and educator Kylie Captain, in partnership with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) and the Australian Museum. Talented ILF educators will lead a dedicated segment, sharing their expertise in language, literacy, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander storytelling and writing. The session also includes a guided tour of the First Nations Gallery, led by dedicated Australian Museum staff.
