For Clinicians in the Doctors in Secondary Schools Program.

This webinar is designed to support food-neutral, size-inclusive and non-stigmatising clinical interactions using Eating Disorder (ED) Safe Principles. This session will provide practical tools to to safely talk about bodies and nutrition and support clinicians to develop communication skills that minimise unintended harm in young people experiencing disordered eating and body image distress.

Presented by Dr. Sarah Trobe from the National Eating Disorders Collaboration and facilitated by Dr. Bianca Forrester from The University of Melbourne.

Speakers:

Dr Sarah Trobe

Sarah is the National Director of the National Eating Disorders Collaboration (NEDC). She is a Clinical Psychologist and has held clinical positions at the Royal Children’s Hospital and private practice as well as working with The Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED) with a focus on service development, case consultation, multidisciplinary care coordination, and education and training provision. Her interests lie in the link between physical health and mental health and current care structures in this field. Sarah is passionate about setting up strong treatment networks and systems across the country.

Dr Bianca Forrester

Bianca is a GP specialising in Youth Health and Implementation Science. She is a senior lecturer at the Department of General Practice and Primary Care, supporting the DiSS training program design and delivery. She holds several policy advisory roles in Youth Health, Women’s health, and Mental Health Reform. Bianca is currently undertaking an Industry PhD exploring the implementation of a learning health system model with WVPHN.
