Our Yarning Circle - community celebration

A celebration of Aboriginal culture.

The FREE event will include:

🔥 Smoking ceremony

🗣 Storytelling (linked to a Noongar creation story)

👨🏽‍🎤 Singing in language

👣 traditional dancing

🐍 Puppetry

🌭 Sausage sizzle, kangaroo stew, damper and more

💚 The big reveal of the yarning circle seating, mosaic and fire-pit

Members of the Manjimup Aboriginal community look forward to sharing insight into the strong links that continue to connect people to Country and Culture here on Pibulmun Noongar boodja.

Called Waangka Danjoo Nyininy (it means 'talking together sitting') Our Yarning Circle is a place to bring people - ALL PEOPLE - together to share, listen and learn. Its a place for EVERYONE.

We will be taking photographs at the event, so please advise event volunteers if you don't wish to have your photo taken.
