Out of this world exhibition tour
Event description
Kerrie is the Senior Heritage and Outreach Officer at the Australian Space Agency, and is the author of several books and articles on space history, including Australia in Space (2017). This popular history tells the story of Australia’s involvement with space activities, from the earliest rocketeers to the origins of the Australian Space Agency.
Spanning cutting-edge scientific research, visionary architecture, pop culture, and beyond, Out of this World explores Australia’s unique role in the space race. Discover the legacy of the Woomera Rocket Range, the space-age design behind Australia’s 1970 Expo pavilion, and the cosmic charm of Mr Squiggle – the man from the moon.
Out of this World is a national touring exhibition developed and presented by the National Archives of Australia, in partnership with the State Library of South Australia.
