Event description
Outdoor Office is a co-working space in Haig Park, operating from Monday the 1st of November until Friday the 3rd of December from 9:00am-2:00pm. Come and enjoy the sunshine, get out of the house, and wander around Braddon for a coffee whenever you want! The Outdoor Office is a COVID-Safe project that follows best practice and up-to-date health advice.
It is free to sign up for a desk, with donations encouraged - you can donate as you book a ticket or via a QR code at the office. We are supporting Orange Sky Laundry, a fantastic charity that helps people in Canberra and around Australia by offering a regular laundry and shower service, connecting people who are too often ignored or feel disconnected from their community.
The Outdoor Office is located in Haig Park next to the carpark on Henty St between Torrens St and Wise St.
We provide desks and an array of seating options including office chairs, folding chairs, deck chairs and bean bags.
We also provide a generator to charge devices when you need power - it's best to arrive with a fully charged laptop and nothing that needs to be plugged in all the time.
BYO WIFI - you'll have to use your phone or other device to connect to the internet.
There are public toilets nearby.
Haig Park is an off-leash dog park, so well-behaved dogs are welcome! Other people may be walking their dogs in the park, and they may come and say hello, what fun.
In the event of wet weather, we'll cancel that day's event and send ticket holders and email via Humanitix.
Outdoor Office is a facilitated by Good Work Canberra, and supported by the City Renewal Authority.
