Outdoor Skills for Kids
Description
(Registration from 8:30am)
Ages 8–13
An exciting and educational outdoor activity awaits young adventurers this September.
Participants will take part in an immersive survival scenario: having survived a plane crash on a remote island, they must navigate their way across the terrain to reach an emergency rescue beacon — a two-day journey using only supplies salvaged from the wreckage.
Guided through this engaging challenge, children will learn five essential survival skills:
Shelter – building a safe place to rest
Water – sourcing and treating drinking water
Food – finding sustenance in the wild
Fire – starting and maintaining a fire
Navigation – finding direction without modern tools
This hands-on experience combines fun, teamwork, and practical skill-building, leaving participants with newfound confidence and a memorable story to share.
What to bring:
Closed-in shoes (required)
A water bottle
Weather-appropriate clothing with sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.)
Please note: Parents or guardians are required to remain on-site to supervise their children for the full duration of the event.
We look forward to seeing your young survivors there!
