Outdoors Society presents: A Kayak Trip to Motukorea/ Bowns Island.

The Outdoors Society team are super excited to be teaming up with Aucklands Sea Kayaks this month for A Kayak adventure to Motukorea/Browns Island. 

Motukorea / Browns Island is a hidden paradise in the heart of the Waitematā Harbour. The tour includes about one hour of kayaking each way with guided stops throughout the journey to Motukorea/ Bowns Island. On arrival, we’ll hike to the summit for panoramic views from Auckland City to the Coromandel and beyond while learning about the island’s fascinating cultural and natural history. We will also have a classic kiwi BBQ with all the trimmings ready for you on the beach for lunch before making our way back home. The Outdoors Society, Node Hydration and Crafty Weka will also provide you with care package that will include a few snacks and drinks along with a token gift for the trip and be a useful accessory for your future adventures as well.

The total time of the trip will be around 4.5hrs so a medium level of fitness is required. The kayaks are all double seated, so find a friend to pair up with or come on your own and we will happily find you a partner.
