This impactful documentary raises awareness of how we must better support children and young people experiencing or afraid of domestic and family violence – to ensure no more children and young people fall through the gaps.
The film features interviews with young people with lived experiences of family violence, as well as family violence advocate, Rosie Batty AO; Commissioner for Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, Micaela Cronin; and Linda Buchanan, Victoria’s Principal Commissioner for Children and Young people.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER - PROFESSOR KATE FITZ-GIBBON (featured in the film)
Professor Kate Fitz-Gibbon is an international leading scholar specialising in the prevention of violence against women and children. As a Professor (Practice) with the Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University and Honorary Professional Fellow at Melbourne Law School, Kate combines academic excellence with practical expertise to drive systemic change. In 2024, Kath founded Sequre Consulting, where she serves as Principal Consultant, advising governments, organisations, and community organisations on evidence-based strategies to prevent violence and promote gender equality.
Kate is an award-winning researcher whose work focuses on addressing violence against women and children, improving system responses, and driving prevention and early intervention efforts. Kate is committed to ethical, survivor-centered research and has worked extensively with victim survivors, practitioners, and police makers to advance evidence-based solutions.
