OWASP Auckland Meetup: Kicking Off 2026 with AI Security

We’re kicking off 2026 with a fresh start for the OWASP Auckland community and a timely deep dive into AI security, one of the fastest-moving areas in application security today.

Our first meetup of the year will be hosted at the Lightspeed office in central Auckland and we’ll be mixing things up from our usual format. Instead of a single talk, this session will focus on two OWASP AI projects, designed for practitioners who want to understand real-world risks and emerging patterns.

Agenda

6:00pm: Introduction to OWASP and the OWASP Top 10 for Agentic AI

6:45pm: Networking and pizza break

7:15pm: OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications

Thanks to Our Host

A big thank you to Lightspeed for sponsoring the venue and catering and for supporting the local security community.

Whether you’re working hands-on in AppSec, building with AI, or simply curious about how security risks are evolving, we’d love to see you there.

A Note on Registrations

The OWASP Global Foundation has shut down the Meetup groups due to rising costs. Please bear with us as we work out our comms/registration process.
