    Event description

We are proud to announce the fourteenth OWASP New Zealand Day conference, to be held at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) City Campus on Thursday and Friday, 7-8 July 2022.

This event is a two-day conference dedicated to application security (AppSec), with an emphasis on secure architecture and development techniques to help Kiwi developers build more secure applications.

This year, we'll have two refereed presentation tracks, focusing primarily on Introductory/Management topics and deeper Technical topics, respectively. In addition, we are continuing the Demo/Breakout "mini track," with tool demonstrations and presentations by our Premier Sponsors, as well as other breakout meetings as organised.

    Who is it for?

    • Web Developers
    • Security Professionals and Enthusiasts
    • Program and Project Managers
    • Business Analysts
    • Requirements Analysts
    • Software Testers

The primary tracks will run concurrently on both Thursday and Friday:

    Stream One:

    • Introductory Topics
    • Program Management, Policy, Compliance, Risk Management
    • Human Considerations (work/life balance, keeping sharp, etc.)

    Stream Two:

    • Technical Topics

The entire conference - including both main tracks and most activities in the Demo/Breakout room - will be live streamed. Information on accessing the live stream will be sent out to registered attendees before the event.

After the conference, recordings of presentations will be posted on the OWASP New Zealand Chapter's YouTube channel.
