Main Conference - OWASP New Zealand Day 2023

We are proud to announce the fifteenth OWASP New Zealand Day conference, to be held at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) City Campus on Thursday and Friday, 6-7 July 2023. 

This event is a two-day conference dedicated to application security (AppSec), with an emphasis on secure architecture and development techniques to help Kiwi developers build more secure applications.

This year, we'll have two refereed presentation tracks, focusing primarily on Introductory/Management topics and deeper Technical topics, respectively. In addition, we are continuing the Demo/Breakout "mini track," with tool demonstrations and presentations by our Premier Sponsors, as well as other breakout meetings as organised.

The primary tracks will run concurrently on both Thursday and Friday:

Stream One:

• Introductory Topics
• Program Management, Policy, Compliance, Risk Management
• Human Considerations (work/life balance, keeping sharp, etc.)

Stream Two:

• Technical Topics

The entire conference - including both main tracks and most activities in the Demo/Breakout room - will be live streamed. Information on accessing the live stream will be sent out to registered attendees before the event.

In-Person Registration Options and Prices:

• Regular Registration is $30.00 per person (inclusive of GST)
• Registration for Students or Unwaged individuals is FREE
• Up to 8 June, one (1) conference t-shirt can be purchased with each registration - $15.00 regular / $12.00 for students/unwaged.
• From 19 June (including 'day of' registrations), a "procrastinator's supplement" will be charged for each registration - $20.00 regular / $15.00 for students/unwaged.
• NEW for 2023: Lunch service at the conference venue is available for pre-order, for $25.00 (plus GST) per person, each day.

Live-Stream Viewing Options and Prices:

• We ask that each person viewing the conference via live-stream purchase a Live-Stream Viewing ticket
• For Live-Stream Viewing only, a minimum contribution of $10.00 is requested, to help defray the costs of producing and delivering the live-stream content.
• Special 'VIP' Live-Stream Viewing Package: In addition to live-stream viewing access, you will receive a conference t-shirt, tote bag, lanyard, and other delegate SWAG. The minimum contribution for this package is $31.50 per person, to help defray live-stream production costs and to cover your t-shirt and shipping. Items will be shipped after the conference - New Zealand addresses ONLY. After the conference, recordings of presentations will be posted on the OWASP New Zealand Chapter's YouTube channel.
