Oxbow Planting at Warriparinga
Event description
Join the Friends of Warriparinga, Southern Cultural Immersion, and the City of Marion to help restore the Oxbow of Sturt River at Warriparinga.
Members of the Kaurna community will Welcome us to Country and share their perspectives on this culturally significant place.
We will plant 500 local native species into pre-dug holes, and enjoy a BBQ afterwards together, powered by Hydrogen Gas thanks to the support of the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group.
Please bring gardening gloves, a trowel if you have one, and wear covered shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
This project is supported by funding from the Commonwealth Urban Rivers and Catchments Program and Green Adelaide.
