The OxProp Back Story

Now in its ninth year, the OxProp Awards - created and launched in 2018 by UK Property Forums - has grown into a distinctive regional awards programme dedicated to celebrating excellence across Oxfordshire’s real estate and built-environment sectors. The awards not only highlight outstanding projects but also provide a platform for organisations to recognise the achievements of their teams and colleagues.

Judgement Day

Our judging process is designed to be rigorous, reliable and transparent, ensuring a credible shortlist that attendees can trust when they join us for the September awards dinner. To maintain focus and quality, we deliberately limit the number of categories to around 10-12. This sets the programme apart from national awards such as Estates Gazette or Property Week, which often feature 20+ categories. The result: more time for delegates to connect and network with over 300 industry peers.

Location is King (The Big Top = New Venue)

Keble College Oxford, has hosted the awards four times over the past eight years, with other notable venues including The Bodleian Library and Bicester Motion, and demand regularly exceeds capacity. In response, for 2026, we are introducing The Big Top, offering a vibrant, festival‑style alternative at a lower ticket price. Linked live to the main ceremony, it will enable more than 400 additional guests to join the celebrations.

Social Value, taken very Seriously

Sustainability and social value sit at the heart of the OxProp Awards. Dedicated categories encourage a sustainable approach to development and delivery. Our venue choice - Keble College Oxford - supports low‑carbon travel with its close proximity to Oxford station, strong transport connections, and ample parking. In addition, all award trophies are produced using recycled bamboo instead of traditional materials such as wood, metal or glass, reducing the overall environmental footprint.

Charity Starts at UKPF

Since 2018, UKPF has raised more than £65,000 for charities through its awards programmes in Reading, Cambridge and Oxford. This year will be no different, with proceeds supporting a charity selected by our guest of honour, Martin Reeves, Chief Executive of Oxfordshire County Council.
