    Event description

Join NSW Department of Primary Industries in Batemans Bay

Since 2019 oyster farmers along the Clyde River have had access to real time salinity and temperature data to help them react quickly to changing river and climatic conditions.

This workshop is a chance to hear how DPI's sensors have been used, and to learn about the future of work on the Clyde River and on other oyster producing estuaries.

    You'll hear from:

    • Clyde River oyster farmers - What has worked well, what hasn't.
    • NSW DPI Digital Agriculture team - What's next for the Clyde River.
    • Eurobodella Council - Ongoing management of the LoRaWAN network.
    • NSW DPI Fisheries - Other ongoing research and biosecurity update.
    • Batemans Bay Marine Estate - Area update
    • NSW Local Land Services - Sensors monitoring biocatch in Wallis Lake.
    • University of Technology, Sydney - Sensor monitoring in other estuaries.
    • University of Wollongong – iOyster project.

On Thursday we will be hosting a sensor maintenance session for those who would like to participate running from 2:30pm to 4pm
