P-TYE Mardi Gras Parade 2025

Join us for the 2025 Mardi Gras parade - the SIXTH year we're marching!!

Now more than ever, it is essential for our trans youth and their families to be surviving, thriving and SEEN. We again have capacity for 80 participants. Please join us with your kids, extended family members and proud friends/allies to challenge this year's Mardi Gras theme of FREE TO BE with our float, FIGHTING TO BE FREE.  We know that our kids and young people do not enjoy the freedoms from prejudice, discrimination and legal, medical and educational obstacles that others do, and we want to encourage others to JOIN THE FIGHT!

The parade will move along Oxford Street as in previous years, and we again have our ute leading the group. We are forming ourselves into a P-TYE FIGHT CLUB this year, with props including boxing ring ropes, boxing and training gloves, and neck towels we can use as hand-held banners. A choreography workshop has been organised at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday 23 February to teach the choreography for the night - please RSVP to this workshop as you complete your order. If you're joining us for the first time - welcome!  Being part of the parade is an experience like no other - we can promise you a night to remember!

Your ticket cost covers your purchase of your T-shirt that must be worn on the night, and entry fee. This year we are going with the simplicity of a white t-shirt - if you can, please pair this with any boxing kit or exercise gear you may already have ie. boxer shorts, sports shorts, tracksuit pants, baggy long pants, or similar and if these happen to be in the trans colours of white/pink/blue, all the better!  IMPORTANT - please order your t-shirts as you place your ticket order and select from the sizes in the drop-down menus.    T-shirt designs will be finalised shortly.  If you have your own boxing gloves or training gloves, bring them them along!

A change this year - Mardi Gras are requiring all participants to register individually in order to receive your Parade Ticket.  This is really important to ensure that Mardi Gras have your contact email, and confirmed agreement to the 2025 Parade Terms and Conditions. When your ticket order is completed, we will send you a participant registration link for you to fill out your own details for your Parade ticket.  You will need to input your email and mobile phone number (or your mobile number if you are completing on behalf of a minor) and confirm your agreement to the 2025 Parade Terms & Conditions - this will ensure that you receive your ticket via email.  Thursday 16th February is the deadline for you to complete the registration.  Keep an eye on your email (and possibly your junk email box) for this email from P-TYE.
