The PaCCSC and CST Annual Research Forum is our principal annual event. Past forums have showcased new research, provided networking opportunities and forged new collaborations.

This year’s them is Clinical trials: new priorities

At PaCCSC and CST, we are setting new research priorities to ensure the program is focused in the areas of greatest need as well as on communities who are underrepresented in research and clinical trials.

We are also expanding our program to include a focus on cardiovascular disease and stroke, two important and prevalent health problems in our population.

Our guest speakers will share their expertise in these areas and lead discussion on how we can best meet the challenges facing our diverse communities.

This year’s Forum will be online again and will include four themed sessions. More details will be added to the below program in the coming weeks.

Keynote speaker

Dr. Hsien Seow is the Canada Research Chair in Palliative Care and Health System Innovation and an Associate Professor at McMaster University, Department of Oncology in Ontario, Canada.

Hsien focuses on ways to improve palliative care delivery and the care experience, particularly in the home and community. His expertise is in health services and policy research, population-based analytics, and patient-reported outcomes research in cancer. He is the co-host of the podcast, The Waiting Room Revolution.
