Next March, leading clinical trialists, researchers, healthcare professionals, and consumers will gather in Sydney for the PaCCSC & CST Research Forum 2025. In 2025, the Forum theme explores the scientific foundations that enhance the quality of care of people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

Clinical trials are critical for evaluating the efficacy and safety of the therapies we use in cancer symptom management and in palliative care. It is also essential that we evaluate how we work as multi-disciplinary teams, and how we communicate with patients and families.

Interpreting the evidence and incorporating the science into the treatment of patients can be complex and challenging. This is the art of our care and essential so that we can elevate the standard of care for all people facing cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

The PaCCSC & CST Research Forum 2025 has been given ‘Consumers Included’ status Cancer Voices ensuring that the perspectives of patients, survivors, carers, and other members of the public affected by cancer are part of the planning and program of the forum.

Networking event

There will be a networking drinks event at 5.00pm on Day 1 for those who wish to attend. Please indicate if you will attend when you are completing your registration details.

Photography

Photographs will be taken at this event to be used for future promotion purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know on the day of the event so we can inform the photographer.

Confidentiality

Maintaining our members’ and event participants’ confidentiality around their research is important to us. Because event participants share ideas and information about research currently underway, we require all event participants to sign a confidentiality agreement. The agreement is one of mutual obligation between UTS and participants you that allows both parties to share ideas freely. The agreement is valid for seven years and covers all event participation and other interactions.

To attend scheduled events you will need to register. Information collected from you as part of your participation in this Event will be used to manage the event and your participation. Information will also be used for quality improvement and planning, including review the event’s success and outcomes.

Your information will usually be collected directly from you. If you are under 16 years of age, you are required to obtain approval from your parent or legal guardian before providing your information to UTS.

Your information collected as part of this Event will not be disclosed to third parties unless required by law, or with your consent.
