Event description

Special guest speakers:

Toa Fraser, world famous Director of “Sweet Tooth”, will share his experiences of living with young-onset Parkinson’s disease.

Dr Shilpan Patel, neurologist, will share his knowledge on Parkinson's disease in the Pacific.

Do you know what Parkinson’s disease is?

Did you know it can affect Pacific people as well as Palagi?

Please come along to learn more about Parkinson’s, how it affects people from the Pacific, and what you can do to help those living with Parkinson’s.

We have gathered a range of experts together to share their knowledge: neurologists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, nurses, researchers and partnered with community support organisations Pasifika Parkinson’s Support Group, Parkinson’s NZ, St John Ambulance, Dementia NZ, Neurological Foundation and Pacific health care providers.
