    Event description


    What You Will Do:

    Volunteers will assist with distributing food to external agencies and the community by helping put together food packages to-go (drive-thru style), volunteers will hand the bags or boxes to people from the community who pull up in their vehicle.

    The packages usually contain: pasta, cereal, canned goods, nuts, etc. (This service is for people in the community experiencing food insecurity.)

    11:30 - Volunteers Arrive and Check In

    11:35 - 12:30 - Prepare food packages

    12:30 - 2:00 - Distribute packages to clients' vehicles as they drive up

    2:00 - 2:30 - Wrap up, thank you

    What to Bring:

    Mask

    Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination

    Dress code: long pants, a blouse or shirt with sleeves (long or short), and closed-toe shoes. No shorts or sandals.

    Parking:

    The Home Office is the front of this address: 3350 E Street, San Diego, CA 92102. The warehouse which is where this volunteer event takes place is in the back of the building. Take 33rd Street to Pickwick Street, take a right, and continue through the open gate.

    Where to Meet:

    Loading docks of the warehouse (back of building). Volunteers are welcome to enter the warehouse to connect with the wonderful warehouse team.
