Event description

FRIDAY 16 SEPTEMBER 2022 | 7.00AM - 9.30AM
@ Functions By The Bay - Frankston Football Club
Cnr Plowman Place & Young St, Frankston

This year we will celebrate all things 'footy' with our guest speaker, retired AFL Bulldogs player, Luke Darcy. Darcy played over 200 games for the Western Bulldogs, following in the footsteps of his father David. He made his debut in 1994 and emerged as one of the AFL’s leading ruckman, winning the Bulldogs’ best and fairest award in 2001 before gaining All-Australian selection and winning the AFLPA MVP award in 2002. Darcy has provided special comments on Ten’s AFL coverage since his retirement from AFL at the end of 2007. In that time he has co-hosted football programs One Week At A Time and The Fifth Quarter, the network’s coverage of the ANZ Netball Championships, and the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Along with talking footy, Luke will touch on a range of topics that he is passionate about, including leadership, inclusivity, connection, well -being, meditation and the contrast from his own playing career to now watching his son Sam at the Western Bulldogs!

Special guest's on our panel this year will Myles Poholke – Former Adelaide Crows player, Leigh Poholke – Senior Coach at the Sorrento Sharks and our wonderful MC for the morning will be Mr Curtis Stone.

Our breakfast is a fantastic opportunity for the Padua community to get together to discuss and debate the AFL finals, celebrate aspiration, raise funds for Vinnies, whilst enjoying a delicious breakfast.

There will be a raffle and silent auction on the morning with all profits going to the St Vincent de Paul Society.
