Padua College Koala Habitat | Tree Planting Day
Event description
Koala Habitat Project
Padua College has partnered with the Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation group in support of its Koala Habitat Project on the Mornington Peninsula to plant over 25,000 indigenous trees and shrubs to restore fragmented koala habit. Padua College will host the next tree planting day to support the koala habitat corridor (highlighted on the map below), with 1,200 trees and shrubs to be planted.
Help us improve koala habitat on the Mornington Peninsula at Padua College’s Koala Tree Planting Day
Come and join us plant hundreds of koala food trees and other local trees and shrubs to increase koala habitat at Padua College.
Habitat loss is the main reason for the decline of koalas and all our wildlife in general, so let’s do something about it.
This is a great opportunity for young people in our community to learn about our environment and local wildlife, including koalas, while helping us increase available habitat.
Important information
