PAE Social Enterprise Development Program
Description
Grow your impact, right here in Port Adelaide Enfield
This pilot program is for local changemakers who are building, or want to build, a business that does good and does well. It’s made up of four sessions running from November 2026 to April 2027; three interactive group workshops covering the foundations of social enterprise (getting clear on your impact, building a business model that can sustain it, and showing the difference you make), followed by a co-working session where you can problem-solve opportunities and challenges with your peers and facilitators.
You can take part in as much or as little as suits you. Join a single workshop, pick a few, or come along to all four. Each session builds on the last, so the full program is the best way to get the most out of it. The co-working session is recommended for people who have attended at least one workshop and can also be used to catch up on any content you might have missed.
Thanks to the City of PAE’s support, sessions are just $30 each, or $90 for all four (with further support available if cost is a barrier).
This program has developed out of a co-design event held in Port Adelaide Enfield in September 2026, where local social enterprises, not-for-profits and purpose-led businesses told us what would help them most.
You can find information about program content and useful details below, but if you still have any questions feel free to contact the Collab4Good team at hello@collab4good.com.au.

The Program
Workshop: Impact Model Design | Thursday 19 November 2026
Want to create real, lasting social, environmental or cultural impact through your work? This hands-on workshop explores what social enterprise really means and how to intentionally put impact at the centre of your model. You’ll get clear on your vision and the problem you want to address, explore different impact and business models for good, and learn from First Nations practices. We’ll also look at systems thinking, helping you see how your work fits into a broader movement for change. You’ll leave with a first draft of your Theory of Change, a practical tool and roadmap for embedding impact into everything you do.
Workshop: Business Model Design | Monday 25 January 2027
How do you build a model that’s both financially sustainable and deeply impactful? This hands-on workshop helps you design a model where income and impact work together to enable the other, not against each other. Building on your vision and the problem you want to address, you’ll explore how you can sell products or services that create real change, learn how to find the customers or funders who will pay for them, and test revenue models that balance profit and impact. Working on your own Social Enterprise Business Model Canvas, with support from facilitators and peers, you’ll test ideas, get feedback and leave with a clearer roadmap for a commercially sustainable organisation that drives intentional impact.
Workshop 3: Impact Measurement | Monday 22 February
You see the difference your work makes in the people and places around you. But when a funder, customer or partner asks you to prove it, where do you start? This hands-on workshop will help you identify, measure and share the difference you make. We’ll explore why measuring impact matters, the common hurdles and simple ways around them, and how to define the outcomes that matter most. You’ll look beyond the numbers to the stories, relationships and shifts in behaviour that are often overlooked, but tell the real story of change. You’ll leave with practical, creative ways to collect your impact data and the confidence to communicate it to customers, funders and your community.
Co-working Session | Monday 26 April
Bring it all together. After a couple of months putting what you’ve learned into practice, come back for a relaxed session with fellow participants, the workshop facilitators and experienced local social entrepreneurs on hand. Work on your Theory of Change, business model or impact measurement plan, ask questions, and get advice from people who’ve been where you are. Missed a workshop? This is a chance to catch up on key concepts with support from the team.
