Come and join José on a tantalising journey as you learn to make paella.
Pronounced: pah-ey-yah. Then stay to enjoy a lively fiesta afterwards. For this workshop, we’ll be creating a paella vegetariana.
Paella originated in Valencia in Spain. It’s believed to have begun as a dish created by farmers working in the country fields, who would gather whatever ingredients they had on hand and combine them with the rice they grew. Interestingly, paella refers not only to the dish itself but also to the wide, shallow pan in which it is traditionally cooked.
Bring along: Your curious selves, an open mind, and a keen desire to mingle and chat. Culinary skills are optional.
