One of Australia's most recognised media personalities, Robin has spent more than three decades in radio, television and journalism. At this special event, Robin will share the deeply personal story behind her forthcoming memoir, Flamingos Aren't Born Pink.

Robin's story is one of extraordinary resilience, love, loss and hope. Following the devastating loss of her husband Tony Smart to suicide, and years later the death of her husband Sean Pickwell from cancer, Robin navigated unimaginable grief while raising her three sons in the public eye. Through these experiences, she discovered the strength that can emerge from life's darkest moments and the power of finding joy, colour and hope again.

Her memoir explores family, motherhood, grief, healing and the transformative journey of rebuilding a life after loss. It is a story that is both heartbreaking and uplifting, reminding us that even through life's greatest challenges, growth, love and possibility remain.
