Chronic pain is one of the most common – and costly – health conditions in Australia. It affects people of all ages, but especially teenagers and young adults, and without the right support it can last a lifetime.

In this free public webinar, Professor Richelle Mychasiuk, neuroscientist at the University of Sydney and co-lead of the GIN Discovery Program, will share the latest insights into how the gut, brain, and microbiome are linked to chronic pain.

You’ll learn about:

The prevalence and impact of chronic pain in Australia
The brain–gut axis: how your gut and brain constantly communicate
What drives chronic pain and why it persists
The role of the microbiome in pain and headaches
The future of therapies, including personalised medicine

This webinar is designed for everyone! Whether you live with chronic pain, know someone who does, or are simply curious about how the gut and brain are connected. No scientific background is needed.
