Event description

This is Maine's premier art auction held at a beautiful seaside location overlooking Zeb Cove in Cape Elizabeth. From July 11th-13th, 30 juried, award-winning plein air artists will paint outdoors at locations chosen to highlight the stunning sea- and landscapes around them, with the resulting artwork auctioned on Sunday, July 13.

This exciting annual event will feature the ever-entertaining auctioneer Kaja Veillieux, light hors d'oeuvres by the Prentice Group, and live music by The STEM Brothers. Smaller paintings by the participating artists are available for purchase as "Mystery Boxes". To learn more and see samples of the artists' work visit www.capelandtrust.org/paint.

Join our Host Committee to attend a special 40th Anniversary reception on Thursday, July 10th, and receive special recognition for your extra support, including:

  • your name displayed on a poster at the event (if received by 6/25)*,

  • a special ribbon on your name badge

  • a listing on the CELT website event pages.

For more information, contact patty@capelandtrust.org.

Proceeds, including a portion of art sales, benefit the land conservation, stewardship, and education work of the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust.

The public is invited to watch the artists at work beginning on Friday, July 11 and throughout the weekend. A free map of locations, along with biographies the artists, will be available at many locations around town, as well as online at CELT’s website, on Facebook and Instagram.
