Paint Parkes REaD Celebration Dinner

Twenty-Five years of "Read, talk, sing and rhyme with your baby from birth."

A community dinner with entertainment from local trio Amitie is being held to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Paint Parkes REaD/Birth to Kindergarten.

Rhonda Brain, the then principal of Parkes Public School started PTTR with six other local school principals and it is now in over 100 communities across Australia.
An early literacy movement that encourages people to read, talk, sing and rhyme with children from birth, so they start school ready to learn.
