Co-Design Workshop ONE

The Black Summer Fires deeply affected our community and Paint the Town is hosting a community two co-design workshops for people to talk about their experiences of the Black Summer Fires to help shape the design of a Paint the Town mural. We want to hear the voices of those who experienced and are still experiencing the aftermath of the 2019 fires.

Led by, Alexandra McCarthy, Psychologist and Art Therapist from Wildflower Holistic with Joe Quilter, Creative Director of Paint the Town, each workshop will gather the input of community members. Come to one or both. Alex will guide how community voices will be best represented and support individuals through the process.

About Alexandra McCarthy, the Paint the Town Psychologist and mental health professional

Alex is a Psychologist and Art Therapist who is passionate about wellness, sustainability and living a life deeply anchored in connection to herself and the community around her. Working across a variety of settings, she has come to specialise in working with individuals who are experiencing or have experienced trauma.

 Alex applies a holistic approach to therapy, believing it’s important to look at the person as a whole, not just the presenting issues. Alex brings an eclectic mix of therapies and is often found thinking outside of the box to engage and collaborate with all parties including schools and allied health professional for the best interest of the client.

Alex is qualified Psychologist, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
