Painting Expressive Characters with Ash Odgers and Art Jam
Event description
Join accomplished Subiaco-based artist Ashley Odgers in this fun and expressive painting workshop.
Ash has been creating art for many years, and has exhibited his work with DADAA, As We Are, Subiaco Arts Centre and more. Recurring themes in his work are comic book and pop culture characters, as well as graffiti styles and 80s nostalgia. His work is gestural and layers bright colours in textured paint strokes.
In this workshop you will be provided with a canvas and acrylic paint, with guidance from Ash and the Art Jam WA team, to create your own expressive character portrait.
Bring an image of your favourite character, or chose from our inspiration ideas on the day.
All abilities welcome.
Enjoy the exhibition 'Nothing About Us Without Us' held by Mission Australia and City of Subiaco, hanging in the Subiaco Arts Centre all week.
