Painting in a Day with Kay Carney
A full day workshop for absolute beginners.

10am - 4pm

This beginners painting workshop teaches simple techniques to create your own works of art at home using very limited materials.
In this case you will have the opportunity to either follow my instructions to produce your own unique copy of this abstract floral - or add your own individual creativity while playing around with the techniques shown.
Art can be an expensive hobby - but in this class you will learn how to mix colours and use simple household items to create texture and interest in your paintings at home.
Everything will be provided to complete an acrylic abstract floral canvas painting to take home and adorn a wall in your house!
WHAT YOU'LL GET

- Your imagination
- A water bottle
- Lunch
- Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, or an apron
- Gloves if you have sensitive skin to acrylic paint
- Notebook and pencil to take notes

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Professionally Kay is a photographer, website and graphic designer, however for pleasure she works in a range of artistic mediums; painting, printmaking, textiles and most recently ceramics.
She conducts workshops from my own studio and have perviously taught at Community Centres around Hobart.
