Painting in a day with Kay Carney

You will complete a finished painting in one session.

You will learn how to prepare your design and transfer it onto a canvas. Students follow demonstrations and step by step instructions. We work together following my formula - however you will be encouraged to make your their own by adding personalised touches. At the end of the session you will have created a contemporary floral painting. This is a great outcome for a one day course.

Art can be an expensive hobby - but in this class you will learn how to mix colours and use simple household items to create texture and interest in your paintings at home.

Everything you need to complete a textured abstract floral vase of flowers on canvas will be provided.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Kay is a photographer, website and graphic designer. For pleasure she works in a range of artistic mediums including painting, printmaking, textiles and most recently ceramics.

She conducts workshops from her own studio and has perviously taught at Community Centres around Hobart.
