Join other Green Pakapakanthi citizen science volunteers in monitoring the 12-month+ old Miyawaki pocket forest #2 at the Victoria Park Wetland. We will measure plant growth and biodiversity in the forest and the adjacent control area, including pollinator and ground-dwelling insect numbers, soil condition and microclimate.

For those who assisted with these measurements last time please join us again. If you’ve not been involved, please consider volunteering.
You will find it an enjoyable experience joining others to provide new information on the suitability of the Miyawaki revegetation method for rapidly restoring native habitat in Adelaide’s parks and streets. No prior expertise or training is required and all equipment is provided. You will receive instructions and assistance on-site from Green Pakapakanthi pocket forest makers Roz Caust and Andy Blanc.

On the day, please wear enclosed shoes (no sandals) and long sleeves and pants. Bring gardening gloves, and your wet weather gear if showers or rain are forecast.
