    Event description

This August, for National Science Week, we're taking the Palaeo Jam podcast on the road, and you're invited!

At 6:30pm, on August 16th, we're recording two episodes of Palaeo Jam that will explore what makes South Australia's fossil heritage so remarkable, and how the South Australian initiated VAMP project is helping revolutionise public access to palaeontology. And we'll say it loud and clear... There's so much more than dinosaurs that lived here!

Palaeo Jam host Michael Mills will be joined by Phoebe McInerney of Flinders University, and Associate Professor Diego Garcia-Bellido Capdevila and Tory Botha of the University of Adelaide to discuss what makes South Australia's fossil heritage so extraordinary. While Dr Alice Clement, Dr Aaron Camens, and Jacob van Zoelen of Flinders University will join Michael in a deep dive into the extraordinary resource that is the Virtual Australian Museum of Palaeontology. (VAMP)

Join us for what promises to be a fascinating night of palaeontology, and discover why the South Australian palaeontology story matters not just to South Australians, but to the prehistoric story of the planet.

Each episode recording is strictly 30 minutes. There will be a short QandA after each episode, and a short break of 20 minutes between sessions. Members of the Flinders University Palaeontology Society and the University of Adelaide Palaeontologists will be present on the night with additional information, and some special surprises.

For those who've not been to the venue before, detailed instructions will be sent to you in the booking confirmation email.
