Palai Pop Up at Hobsons Bay Yacht Club
Event description
Palai Pop Up at Hobson Bay Yacht Club, Williamstown – Sunday, 16th of October
Palai, meaning ‘ a singular grain of rice’ in a number of filipino dialects
My name is Ryan Phipps and I have been cooking professionally for roughly four years now as a part of some exciting restaurants. I am currently a part of the team at two-hatted Amaru Melbourne in Armadale, working among some incredible chefs. This pop-up dinner is a chance for me, as an ambitious and excited cook, to showcase some of my knowledge and provide an exciting dining experience for guests. Whilst being a great opportunity for me to raise money for a great cause – the treatment of mental health. All proceeds will be getting donated to Headspace.
This event will be an opportunity for members to experience something new and treat themselves to a unique dining experience, whilst being able to donate to an important cause.
Guests will be able to book different seating times for the night through Hobsons Bay Yacht Club.
The menu on offer will be an amalgamation of Asian and Modern Australian cooking, with a heavy influence of the Philippines.
The menu will be made up of 2 snacks, 3 courses, 1 dessert, 2 petit fours.
