In collaboration with solidarity groups across regional Victoria, doors will open at 6:30pm for group discussion, postcard workshop and shared nibbles (please bring a plate of easy to eat, simple nibbles to share - tea and coffee provided). Entry is free.
All family ages are welcome to our pre-film event, postcard-writing workshop - however the film is more suitable for older teens & adults.
About the film: Palestine Under Siege was produced by an Australian team: Dr. Peter Slezak, Rand Darwish and Lee Rhiannon, John Reynolds and Jill Hickson. It was filmed in West Bank Palestine, East Jerusalem and Israel in the middle of 2023, just months before the ongoing bombardment of Gaza and its people from 2023-present. Through the film, we will learn the heart of the struggle for Palestinian self-determination. We will hear Palestinian and Jewish human rights activists speak about the movement to dismantle Israeli apartheid.
