About: Palliative care volunteers are often present in the lives of people who are struggling to cope with end-of-life approaching. This workshop will help you be more confident in responding to the
expressed emotions and needs of clients and equip you to work effectively with people who may be distressed or in crisis.
Topics include:
- Communication
- Reflective listening
- Limit setting
- Boundaries
- Dealing with crisis
- Debriefing
- Self-care
Who: Palliative care volunteers
Cost: Free, although registration is essential. Complimentary morning tea and lunch will be provided.
