Could employee ownership be the path forward for rewarding employees, growing resilient companies, and nurturing our economy?

New research from Sharesies reveals rising demand for rewards outside of traditional salary:

53% of Australian workers and 56% of New Zealand workers believe salary alone won’t build long-term wealth.
A growing number would choose equity or shares over a modest cash raise.

As productivity flatlines, home ownership slips out of reach for younger generations, and AI reshapes knowledge work, changing employee expectations and higher financial literacy have employees looking beyond conventional pay structures. Ownership has never been a more relevant and rational answer.

What we’ll explore

Join Sharesies Business for a breakfast panel discussion. The panel will explore what changes when employees share in growth across three key levels:

The individual: Making work more meaningful and giving people a stake in the value they create.
The organisation: How employee ownership shapes company culture, performance, and talent retention.
The economy: Sharing the gains created by growing companies across the workforce and lifting participation in economic opportunities.
