Description

ADHD is often talked about in simple terms.
For many adults, especially women, the lived experience is far more complex.

This Papaya Conversations session is an opportunity to learn about ADHD in a clear, respectful, and whole-person way. We will explore how ADHD can affect the brain, body, and nervous system, and why it can look different across life stages.

This is an educational evening designed to support understanding, not to diagnose or provide individual treatment.

What we’ll cover
  • What ADHD is, and what it isn’t

  • Common patterns seen in adults and women

  • The role of hormones, stress, sleep, and the nervous system

  • How ADHD can influence focus, energy, emotional regulation, and brain fog

  • An overview of medication, supplements, and testing options

  • Practical, neuroaffirming strategies to support concentration and daily functioning

Information will be evidence-informed and presented in plain language.

Who this session is for
  • Adults who have ADHD, are exploring a possible diagnosis, or are newly diagnosed

  • People wanting a clearer understanding of how ADHD affects the body and mind

  • Those feeling overwhelmed, fatigued, or confused about next steps

  • Partners or supporters who want to learn more

You do not need a formal diagnosis to attend.

What to expect
  • A relaxed, respectful environment

  • Clear explanations without pressure or judgement

  • Time for questions and discussion

  • Light food and refreshments

Papaya Conversations are designed to support understanding, reduce confusion, and help people feel more informed and less alone.

If you’ve been wanting a calm, sensible conversation about ADHD that goes beyond stereotypes, you are very welcome to join us.
