Paper is an enduring material for the creation of works of art. Join two of Australia’s most respected Conservators to learn about the properties of paper and optimal strategies for its care, framing and storage. The presentation includes time for in-depth questions. Places strictly limited. Suitible to artists who work with paper and paper based materials.

About the presenting Conservators

	Andrea Wise has a BA (Hons) in Design from the University of Metropolitan Manchester and an MA in Conservation (Works of Art on Paper) from the University of Northumbria. She was Conservator for the Regional Galleries Association of NSW from 1989 to 1991. From 1993 to 1997 she was Regional Conservator at Auckland Art Gallery, New Zealand. She was the Senior Paper Conservator at the National Gallery of Australia until retiring in 2023. 	Lisa Addison has a Bachelor of Science in Conservation of Cultural Materials from the University of Canberra, and a Graduate certificate in Sustainable Heritage Development from the Australian National University. Lisa currently works as the Preventive Conservation at the National Gallery of Australia where she has been working to protect all materials in the collection from undue damage during display, storage, and display. Prior to the Gallery Lisa worked as a conservator for various institutions including Parliament House Art Collection, for International Conservation Services, the Powerhouse Museum, the Australian War Memorial, and as site conservator on archaeological excavations in Syria and Cyprus.
