Paper Mâché Bowl Workshop with Ange Strong - Bribie Island
Description
Paper Mâché Bowl Workshop with Ange Strong
Two sessions. Recycled materials. One bowl made by you.
Come along for a fun and creative hands on workshop where you'll learn how to create your own unique paper mache bowl.
Join artist Ange Strong at Obsidian Bide Art Gallery for a hands-on, two-part workshop inspired by work in the Line of Life exhibition.
As they guide you step by step through the process you will turn recycled paper into something beautiful and useful as you learn to prepare, build and finish your own paper mâché bowl. All materials are included - byo apron and your curiosity (and a willingness to get your hands a little messy.)
Session 1: Prepare, pulp & build
Sunday 18 October 2026 | 11am–3:30pm
Learn how to prepare your resources, make paper pulp from recycled materials and use a mould to shape and build your bowl. Your work will have time to dry between sessions.
Session 2: Paint & finish
Sunday 1 November 2026 | 11am–1pm
Come back to paint, decorate and finish your dried bowl, ready to take home and enjoy.
