Event description

In Papermaking Basics, participants will be using recycled paper and organic elements to pull their own unique sheets of paper, adding paint, natural pigments, plants, and various other applications as part of the process (all provided). We will learn about papermaking, its historical context, and how it relates to the materials we are using in our creative process. Participants are guaranteed to create and leave with many sheets of paper, as many as we have time to make in two hours. Collaborative processes will be taught and encouraged, including the poured pulp method, collaging personal materials, and an introduction to Pulp Sculpting, which will be offered as a different workshop.
