Paper Nicho Workshop

This workshop is great for everyone that would like to learn the basics of paper flowers while assembling a Nicho. Niches are a typical Mexican craft of Day of the Dead; in the niches we introduce images of our loved ones that we want to honor. Participants will learn to make a few rolled and Molded paper flowers to decorate their Nicho and participants can bring a COPY of a photograph of their loved one to introduce on the Niches. Participants will go home with their own decorated nicho, ready to be hung on their wall.

Este talle es perfecto para todos los que quieran aprender lo básico de flores de papel mientras armamos un Nicho. Los Nichos son artesanías típicas Mexicanas de día de nuestros; en los nichos pondremos la foto de nuestros seres queridos que queremos honrar. Los participantes aprenderán a hacer unas flores de papel para decorar sus nichos y podrán traer una COPIA de la fotografía de su ser querido. Los participantes irán a casa con su propio nicho decorado, listo para ponen en su pared.

This workshop is appropriate for ages 13+ only.
Este taller es apropiado únicamente para edades 13+.

Minors do not have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the workshop. Adults must come inside to drop their minor off with the workshop instructor. Drop off begins 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, and everyone must be picked up at the scheduled end of the workshop.

Los menores no necesitan estar acompañados por sus padres o tutores durante el taller. Los adultos deben entrar al interior para dejar a su menor con el/la maestro/a del taller. La entrega comienza 10 minutos antes de la hora de inicio programada y todos deben ser recogidos al final del taller.

Hi everyone, my name is Minerva. I am 22 years old and I’m from San Luis Potosí Mexico. I make a little bit of everything from earrings, shirts, and paper crafts; everything that I make is inspired by my culture. I hope everyone loves what I make as much as I love making it.

Hola a todos, Mi nombre es Minerva, tengo 22 años y soy de San Luis Potosí México. Yo hago un poco de todo desde aretes, camisas y artesanías de papel. Todo lo que hago es inspirado en mi cultura Mexicana. Espero que les guste todo lo que hago así como a mi me gusta hacerlo.
