TWO DAY WORKSHOP RUN OVER CONSECUTIVE SATURDAYS 19 + 26 OCTOBER 2024

This workshop is for anyone interested in learning more about making their own paper, and how to have a simple papermaking set up at home without the need for expensive equipment.

Participants will learn all the basics to get started, including an overview of papermaking, the equipment and processes. We will look at pulp preparation methods, using a Critter Beater and kitchen blender; sheet forming with a mold and deckle; drying techniques and more. Note: This is a hands-on workshop so be prepared to get messy and wet.

What's supplied:

All paper materials
Equipment

NOTE: Molds and deckles are supplied for use during the workshop, however if you'd like your own brand new set to use and take home with you, these are available for pre-purchase by contacting the instructor well in advance of the class. [A5 size $51, A4 size $65].

What to bring:

Notebook and pen
Apron and/or old clothes
To wear shoes suitable for wet areas

This workshop is suitable for beginners. No previous experience is necessary.
