Papier Mache Turtle Sculptures with Leisa Hearps

 

This creative workshop provides an opportunity to engage in hands-on construction of your very own papier mache turtle sculpture. It is messy fun, so please do wear art clothing and bring along an art apron if you wish. We will construct our turtle sculptures, then apply various decorative papers, poster paints, and other decorative inclusions to ensure that your turtle is turtully unique! Suitable for ages 5+, with an attending adult required for ages under 10 years old to assist them. This is going to be lots of Family fun!

Date: Wednesday, July 16th 2025
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm

 

What to bring:

  • Water bottle/snack

  • Passion for our wildlife

  • Wear comfortable "art" clothes/carry an apron

  • All materials provided

About the Presenter:

Leisa Antonio-Hearps, the heart and soul behind Healing India Creative Arts, established in 2006 in Perth WA, is committed to sustainable artistry, contemporary creativity, and respectfully encompassing traditional Indian-inspired influences across her creative art practice. Leisa enjoys facilitating multidisciplinary creative art workshops in our local community and she has been awarded Local community art awards for her designs in Basketry, Glass art, and Jewellery. With a rich background in fostering community through her studies in Social sciences combined with professional development in dressmaking, and art, she always offers an inviting inclusive space for all to explore their artistic abilities while emphasizing the importance of environmental care.
