Join us for the Paraburdoo September/October School Holiday Program!
The Shire is bringing you a fun-filled schedule of activities across two weeks, including activity packs for the car/plane, content creation workshops, live snake and lizards, introductory tool workshops, jewellery making, puppet shows and a pool party for the whole town!
Important Information
Children under 10 years must be supervised by a legal parent or guardian at all times. Siblings under the age of 18 will not be accepted as a guardian.
Staff monitor the tickets that come in and will refund double bookings, children of inappropriate ages and misuse of the booking system. You must complete separate registrations per child to ensure entry.
You must book children into the correct sessions, if you book a child incorrectly you will be refunded your tickets and/or turned away at the event. Contact my.paraburdoo@ashburton.wa.gov.au if tickets are sold out.
If your child is unable to make the program, please contact my.paraburdoo@ashburton.wa.gov.au as we have a waitlist and would hate to have kids miss out if we have openings!

21st September - Activity Packs 👩🎨- NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Leaving town!?? Pick up a mess-free activity pack from the library for entertainment on long car or plane rides! From September 21st. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED
29th & 30th September - Content Creation Workshops 🤳
Join us for these hands-on workshops led by a professional videographer, teaching young people the skills to film and edit content while exploring how we can make our local roads safer. 10am - 3pm with lunch provided. BYO scooter/bike encouraged but not necessary.
1st October - Red Dirt Reptiles 🐍
Get up close and personal with scaley friends from around the Pilbara! Thursday October 1st 2pm - Pre-Primary - Year 4 3pm - Year 5 - Year 12
5th October - Total Tools 🪛
Learn your shifter from your spanner with 2 local grease monkeys! Juniors will take home an interactive fitting board, and teens will learn basic automotive skills on a 4wd engine. Monday 5th October 9am - Pre-Primary - Year 4 12pm Year 5 - Year 12
6th October - Chains & Charms 📿
Choose your favourite beads and make custom bracelets, necklaces or key chains to take home 🤩 Tuesday 29th September 8:30 am - Support Session for disabilities 10am - Pre-Primary - Year 4 1:30pm - Year 5 - Year 12
8th October - Constable Care - Fun Scary & Wheely Safe 👮♀️
9AM FUN SCARY - Through puppetry and song, this performance for children in Kindergarten to Year 3 teaches students the difference between scary things that are fun (like rollercoasters) and those scary secrets that we need to tell a trusted adult about. 10AM WHEELY SAFE - Tackling safe riding practices, sharing the path, and bike and road safety, Wheely Safe Adventure has direct links to the WA Education Curriculum and is a valuable tool in teaching safety skills to children in Kindergarten to Year 3.
9th October - Spring Pool Party 🐳- NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED
FREE ENTRY for all! Join us for a fun afternoon at the pool with lots of fun games and a BBQ!
FAQs
- Can I bring younger siblings?
Children outside of the specified groups may not participate in the activities. If you have a small baby or toddler that you cannot leave at home, you are welcome to have them present while your school aged child/ren participate in the activity.
- Can my teen supervise my younger child?
All children under 10 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. This may include an older sibling over the age of 18 or another adult. Anyone under 18 years of age will not be accepted as a supervisor.
- What if the event is sold out?
You can join the waitlist to be offered any added or cancelled tickets as they become available. Alternatively, you can contact us at my.paraburdoo@ashburton.wa.gov.au to express your interest.
