Event description

Summer still has some love to give and in our eyes, that means more pleasure to pursue

✨

Thrilled to run it back after the joy of last weekend, Parallel presents an evening affair at a dream destination we’ve had our eye on for quite some time: Pleasures Playhouse

🎥

A night at the cinema, but one that keeps you on your toes

💃

This night entails a ride through sounds, beginning with funky basslines, house and techno anthems, and ending with hard-hitting bass, breakbeat, garage and techno. Have a look at what this lineup entails... (a~z)

. . . . . . . . . . . .

Defs Not Duds
Off a run of successful raves across Eora, and after making his Home Bar and Oxford Art Factory debuts (where he supported acts of the likes of Caitlin Medcalf, fukhed, Akul and Waxlily), Defs Not Duds is finding himself all over the scene with endless energy to spare.

Bringing a mix of hard yet euphoric basslines and breaky beats with a sprinkle of garage, Defs Not Duds embraces a sound that is irresistible to the ears and body. Definitely no duds to be found here.

Mash

A lover of all things disco, techno and 90s house anthems, Mash will warm the floor with a groovy day set or keep it fun & furious into the night. Most recently playing at Parallel’s Convergence Festival, Lost Sundays, Glass Island and a spontaneous set at Lost Paradise’s Fellr stage, Mash joins Parallel friends and family for this Pleasures Playhouse affair.

mi.key

Eora (Sydney) born and currently residing in Meanjin, mi.key has a musical background from a young age. Originally influenced by the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, ARTBAT, Willaris K. and Mall Grab, his taste forms a balance of dynamic electro synths and techno to thumping warehouse breaks and syncopated basslines. Having played at venues from Home Bar and the Ivy, to a series of underground raves in Eora, he's confident in getting the crowd jumping.

PARTIGIRL

If you haven’t checked Instagram on a Friday night for her gig guides, you’ve been missing some of the best parties in Sydney. We welcome PARTIGIRL for her Parallel debut. Known for her infectious energy, recycled fashion and Track ID’s! PARTIGIRL will be setting up the night with some funky bassline’s to get you moving. PARTIGIRL prides herself on supporting events that create safe spaces for people to express, connect and explore their identity so that you leave with a few new friends and a shazam or two!

Raph Savage

Raph Savage is a DJ hailing from Eora and coming in hot from a set at Lost Paradise. His extensive knowledge of house music and his dedication to digging through the archives to unearth classic tracks allows him to bring the best of the past to new ears. Raph's sets are a journey through the history of house music, seamlessly blending classic tracks with the newest sounds. Raph can often be seen dancing with his hands above his head, fully immersing himself in the music and connecting with his crowd.

SILLYBITCHESDIE

Introducing: SILLYBITCHESDIE. One of the pinnacle leaders of the current rave scene in Sydney, Bella Noble AKA SILLYBITCHESDIE brings high energy & intensity through her abrasive, relentless sounds of Drum & Bass, Garage & Techno.

SBD uses nostalgic sounds as her main weapon of choice for dancefloor destruction, chaining together tracks that can lead to chaos at any moment & her ability to weave between sounds is truly a unique experience.
