Event description

Our Parent-Infant classes are a place for parents of Infants, 6 weeks - 12 months, to come together weekly in a calm, beautiful environment that supports your baby's natural development.

The Infant classes are currently offered from

11:00am - 12:30pm Thursdays at Dodges Ferry, Tasmania.

Each class is specifically tailored to Infants, and guided by an Infant and Toddler specialist, with facilitated observation time to unpack the lens of respectful parenting and infant mental health.

Each season we welcome new songs, opportunities for exploring movement, embody awe in the changes of the seasons (we're an all-weather class!),and create space to learn from each other.

The term is guided by a weekly rhythm in which we view infants as capable and competent from birth, where we offer developmentally age-appropriate resources to allow for multiple play manipulations, where the hum of love and song permeates the class, and a delicious morning tea is shared.

FAQs

1. Do I need to attend with my child?

Yes, these are intentionally set as parent and child classes.

    2. Can I book casual classes?

YES! We're offering casual classes for Term One. Bookings for the casual classes close the morning of the session, so be sure you book in the night before at the latest to secure your place!   Follow the links above to book, see you soon!

      3. How often are the classes run?

Our classes run weekly, currently on Thursdays and generally alongside the Tasmanian school terms.

        Term 1: 9th Feb - 30th Mar

        Term 2: 4th May - 6th Jul

        Term 3: 27th Jul - 28th Sept

        Term 4: 19th Oct - 21st Dec

        4. What happens if I miss a class?

We understand that life happens and politely decline a refund or credit for the class missed, but we understand individual circumstances vary so if there have been a lot of missed sessions due to ill health, etc we are open to discussing a refund or credit.

          5. What age groups do the classes cater to?

We offer two classes. A Parent-Infant class caters to children 6 weeks - 12 months and a Parent-Toddler class cater to children from 13 months - 24 months.

            6. Can my other child attend the class as well?

Our intimate classes are tailored specifically to meet the needs of the age of the group. In saying that, if you have two children; one under 12 and one over 12 months, then arrangements can be made for your younger child to attend the Toddler session. Please contact us for clarification prior to booking.
