Kennedy Baptist College continues to find ways to engage students and families on issues of mental and physical health. As part of our community engagement on this topic, we hold regular parent forums such as our Kennedy Insights.

A particular element that touches on both mental and physical health is body image. In today’s digital world, we are constantly bombarded with a very narrow, often sexualised, version of what it means to be beautiful. Current research indicates that many young people in Australia list body image as one of their main concerns in their personal lives.

In this presentation, wellness professional Christina Self will outline the importance of having and encouraging positive body image, and how we can foster this more positive outlook in both ourselves and our young people.
